Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
