He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and in awe of God 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 lofty and pure, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 And produce therein corn, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
