The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). 1 Yet if they see a sign (the unbelievers) turn their backs and say: 'This is but a continuation of sorcery' 2 They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time. 3 Tidings containing a deterrent have come to them 4 far-reaching wisdom [was held out to them]: but [since] all warnings have been of no avail, 5 Wherefore withdrew thou from them. The Day whereon the summoner will summon mankind unto a thing unpleasant. 6 They will come forth, with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad, 7 Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say. 8 ۞ [LONG] BEFORE those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people call it a lie; and they gave the lie to Our servant and said, "Mad is he!" - and he was repulsed. 9 Then he supplicated to his Lord, (saying): 'I am overcome, help me' 10 And so We caused the gates of heaven to open with water pouring down in torrents, 11 and caused the earth to gush with springs, so that the waters met for a predestined matter. 12 And We bore Noah on the vessel built of planks and nails, 13 Which sailed right under Our eyes: A recompense for him who had been denied. 14 And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition? 15 But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning? 16 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 17 Ad treated (the truth) as a lie, so how (great) was My punishment and My warning! 18 We sent a raging wind against them on a day of continuous calamity. 19 Carrying men away as though they were trunks of palm-trees uprooted. 20 How terrible was Our torment and the result of (their disregard) of Our warning. 21 We have made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would pay attention? 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
