And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire. 27 Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, as Mufsidun (those who associate partners in worship with Allah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), as the Fujjar (criminals, disbelievers, wicked, etc)? 28 [All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said: 'Indeed I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord until the sun has vanished behind a veil. 32 Bring them back unto me; and he set about slashing their legs and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 Then We subjected to him the wind: it ran gently by his command withersoever he directed. 36 And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return. 40
