The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
