Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
