3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
