The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
