Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
