3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
