۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 They are always harassing us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
