And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 #NAME? 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
