The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 Who guard their sex 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 to their promise, 9 These are the heirs 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
