And He it is Who made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and (in) His (control) is the alternation of the night and the day; do you not then understand? 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!" 84 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: will ye not then heed? 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say, "In whose hands lies sovereignty over all things, protecting all, while none can seek protection against Him? Tell me, if you have any knowledge." 88 They will surely say: "(The dominion over all things) belongs to Allah." Say: "Whence are you then deluded?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
