Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
