۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 and We delivered Moses and those with him all together; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
