The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then he whose scales weigh heavier 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 but he whose weight is light in the Scale, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11
