We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
