Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
