The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Star when it plunges, 1 your companion is not in error nor has he gone astray. 2 and neither does he speak out of his own desire: 3 It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. 4 He was taught by [an angel] who is mighty in power, 5 Endued with Wisdom: for he appeared (in stately form); 6 While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon. 7 Then he drew nigh and came down 8 until he was but two bow-lengths away, or even nearer. 9 So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave [Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)]. 10 The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw. 11 So will you dispute with him over what he saw? 12 And indeed he did see the Spectacle again. 13 Near Sidrat-ul-Muntaha [lote-tree of the utmost boundary (beyond which none can pass)], 14 Close to which is the Garden of Tranquility, 15 When that covered the lote-tree which covered it. 16 Neither did sight falter nor exceed the bounds. 17 He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 Have you then considered the Lat and the Uzza, 19 and about the third deity, al-Manat? 20 What, have you males, and He females? 21 That is indeed an unjust division. 22 They are but names, named by you and your fathers. Allah has not sent down any authority for them. They follow conjecture and their soul's desire, eventhough the guidance of their Lord has come to them. 23 Does man imagine that whatever he wishes for is right for him? 24 All that is in the life to come and all that is in this life belongs only to God. 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
