Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
