The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
