When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused. 116 and thereupon We said: "O Adam! Verily, this is a foe unto thee and thy wife: so let him not drive the two of you out of this garden and render thee unhappy. 117 It is assuredly given to thee neither to hunger therein, nor to go naked, 118 “And that you never feel thirsty nor hot sunshine hurt you.” 119 But Satan whispered unto him, saying: "O Adam! Shall I lead thee to the tree of life eternal; and [thus] to a kingdom that will never decay?" 120 So they both ate from it thereupon their shame became manifest to them, and they started applying on themselves the leaves of heaven; and Adam lapsed in obeying his Lord, so did not reach his goal. (Of achieving immortality) 121 Then his Lord chose him, so He turned to him and guided (him). 122 He said: "Get ye down, both of you,- all together, from the Garden, with enmity one to another: but if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me, whosoever follows My Guidance, will not lose his way, nor fall into misery. 123 And whoever turns away from My reminder, his shall be a straitened life, and We will raise him on the day of resurrection, blind. 124 He will say:"O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)." 125 God will say, "Just as Our signs came to you and you ignored them, so will you on this Day be ignored." 126 Thus We recompense those who are unjust and have no faith in Our revelations. The torment in the life to come will be more severe and last longer. 127 Is it not a warning for them to see how many generations living before them We destroyed and how they are now walking in their ruins? In this there is the evidence (of the Truth) for the people of reason. 128

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
