۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
