And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
