The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
