Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know all that you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
