Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
