[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 and ease my task for me. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
