▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 full of various trees. 48 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 49 In [each of] these two [gardens] two springs will flow. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 lovely as rubies, beautiful as coral -- 58 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Both [gardens] of the darkest green. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficience. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
