▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
