Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the Prophet) not realize that the heavens and the earth were one solid mass, then We tore them apart, and We made every living being out of water? Will they, then, not believe (that We created all this)? 30 And We set in the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with them, and We set in it ravines to serve as ways, that haply so they may be guided; 31 And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away. 32 and [fail to see that] it is He who has created the night and the day and the sun and the moon - all of them floating through space! 33 We have given no man everlastingness before you. So then if you die, will they live ever after? 34 Every living being must taste death; and We test you with harm and with good – a trial; and to Us only you have to return. 35 But [thus it is:] whenever they who are bent on denying the truth consider thee, they make thee but a target of their mockery, [saying to one another,] "Is this the one who speaks [so contemptuously] of your gods?" and yet, it is they themselves who, at [every] mention of the Most Gracious, are wont to deny the truth! 36 Man is created of haste, I will show you My Ayat (torments, proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So ask Me not to hasten (them). 37 They say, "When shall the Day of Judgment come to pass if you are true in your claim?" 38 If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided... 39 It will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. They shall be unable to ward it off, and they shall not be respited. 40 Many apostles have been scoffed before you; but they who scoffed were themselves caught by what they had ridiculed. 41
