The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
