And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
