Alshu'araa' 6 of 11

The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 and drowned the others. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
