The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
