And so, they who are bent on denying the truth are saying: "What! After we have become dust - we and our forefathers - shall we [all,] forsooth, be brought forth [from the dead]? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 They ask, "When the Day of Judgment will come, if it is true at all?" 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
