The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
