The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
