Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
