The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
