Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
