Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 59 but the leading men of his people said, "Truly, we see that you are obviously lost in error!" 60 He said: 'O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 61 I convey unto you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel unto you, and know from Allah that which ye know not. 62 Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man, from among you, to warn you so that you might receive mercy?" 63 Then they belied him; thereupon We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and drowned those who belied Our signs; verily they were a people blind. 64
