The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
