O ye chiefs! give me an answer in regard to my vision if a vision ye are wont to expound. 43 'A hotchpotch of nightmares!' they said. 'We know nothing of the interpretation of nightmares.' 44 And of the two the one who was released said – and after a long time he had remembered – “I will tell you its interpretation, therefore send me forth.” 45 (And coming to the prison) he said: "O Joseph the truthful, tell us (the meaning of) seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean ones, and seven green ears of corn and seven seared, that I may go back to the people and tell them." 46 He said: Ye shall sow seven years as usual, but that which ye reap, leave it in the ear, all save a little which ye eat. 47 "Then will come after that (period) seven dreadful (years), which will devour what ye shall have laid by in advance for them,- (all) except a little which ye shall have (specially) guarded. 48 Then, after that, will come a year when the people will have plenteous crops and when they will press (wine and oil). 49
