Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
