Al-Imraan 14 of 20
O you who believe, do not practice usury, charging doubled and redoubled (interest); but have fear of God: you may well attain your goal. 130 And fear the Fire prepared for the unbelievers, 131 And obey Allah and the messenger, that ye may find mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten for the pardon of your Lord, and for Paradise extending over the heavens and the earth, laid out for those who take heed for themselves and fear God, 133 Those who spend [in Allah's Cause - deeds of charity, alms, etc.] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers). 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 Their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever. How blessed is the reward of those who labor. 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 This is a clear declaration for mankind, and a guidance and a warning for those who preserve themselves from evil. 138 So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. 139 If misfortune touches you, [know that] similar misfortune has touched [other] people as well; for it is by turns that We apportion unto men such days [of fortune and misfortune]: and [this] to the end that God might mark out those who have attained to faith, and choose from among you such as [with their lives] bear witness to the truth - since God does not love evildoers 140 and so that Allah will examine those who believe and efface the unbelievers. 141 What! You assume that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet tested your warriors, nor yet tested the steadfast? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
