The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 (Lord), You alone We do worship and from You alone we do seek assistance 5 Direct us on to the Straight Way, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
