The Key (Al-Faatehah)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. 7
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Key (Al-Faatehah). Sent down in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)
