The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

All praise is due to God, the Lord of the Universe; 2 The Merciful, the Compassionate 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 Guide us to the Straight Path, 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
